Peridot is an extreme gem that is found in meteorite, lava and deep down in earth’s mantle. Egyptian mined peridot on the red sea and called it the gem of the sun. Its color ranges from yellowish green hues to green. Yellowish green is the most widely seen color in jewellery. Peridot is the birthstone of August.
