Zircon is found in variety of colors like white, green, red, brown, and blue which makes it favorite among the collectors and informed consumers. Colorless or white zircon is known for its exceptional brilliance and flashes of multicolored light called fire. White Zircon has often been confused for diamonds due to its fire. Zircon has been used as a substitute of diamonds since 1990s. Zircon comes mainly in brownish red color rough which is further heat treated to achieve white, gold or blue color. Blue Zircon is the most attractive color and is the birthstone of December along with tanzanite and turquoise.
