Turquoise is a semiprecious and opaque gemstone mainly found in dry and barren regions of the earth. Its color ranges from greenish blue to intense blue. The top color of the Turquoise is often referred as robin’s egg blue or sky blue is the Nishapur area of Iran. Turquoise often has brown or tan marking on it which is the remnants of the host rock and looks like veins or splotches. They are called matrix. Turquoise is the birthstone of December month.
