Ruby is one of the most valuable variety of corundum family. Ruby gets its name from the Latin word Ruber which means “red”. Mogok in Myanmar is where the most legendary rubies have been discovered. Its color ranges from pinkish red to intense red. Ruby gets its color from the element chromium. The more the chromium in ruby better will be the color. Ruby is the birthstone of July.
